Respect
There have been so many times in my life that I was looking for respect from people because they seemed important. For example, ministers or teachers. I was reading a new book, Launching A Leadership Revolution by Chris Brady and Orrin Woodward, and there were some paragraphs on respect. Paraphrased....don't look for respect from people we don't respect!!!! Earn respect from those we respect such as our mentors. This resonated with me. So, who do you respect? Have they earned your respect? Are you earning their respect?
Have a great Holiday. This is a special time of year when we can reflect on giving, receiving, renewal, and gratitude. Look at all of the beautiful lights and be reminded that you are the light and you are the gift!

Another Thought
A little ritual that I have is taking three deep breathes through the nasal passages and into the stomach while relaxing and giving thanks for whatever I have at the moment. It might even be medicine for a painful back but I am thankful, and you know, I always feel better for it. Just another thought.
Getting Started
One of the most powerful laws of the Universe is the Law of Attraction which basically says that what we focus on grows in our lives. So, if we want to be secure financially and we are ALWAYS THINKING OF THE BILLS AND THE MONEY WE DON'T HAVE - GUESS WHAT-WE HAVE JUST FOCUSED ON WHAT WE DO NOT WANT-LESS MONEY!!!!!! And we usually do that with a great deal of emotion which stimulates the LoA to work even faster! Not to mention, we are just darn sadder too. So, I kind of figure that we have a choice in what we think. We can choose to think thoughts that have us feeling a bit better or a thought that just takes us to the depth of sadness! Who wants to feel awful? Not me. I want to feel hopeful and appreciate the life that I have right now. So, if the bills are coming anyway and we might as well feel good. Think of something that feels better.....maybe it's your little poodle doggie, or kitty, or favorite song....you get the picture.
And have you ever noticed that sometimes we think we know what is going to happen and we project ourselves into the "awful" future only to ruin our beautiful now moment. And then what we thought was going to happen doesn't!!!! WOW - we lost our now moment and focused on yuck. Did that do us any good at all? NO!
The point being, give the LoA a little trial and in the meantime think a thought that feels good and see how the day goes. It will be better.
